I've decided to upgrade the basic unit to a real leather portfolio. The price has been raised slightly to accomodate this. I haven't put up a picture yet, but it is very very nice. Just ask anyone who's been raving about thiers on the forums.

I developed an EXECUTIVE LINE of impression devices for the corporate performer. These are Padfolios, the leatherette folders with the clip inside for holding notepaper. The final piece fell into place when I consulted an insane leatherworker in town and learned how to finish my magnetic vinyl to look like finished leather.

So what I've done is installed my Hornet technology in what appears to be a leather back flap that provides a stable writing surface for the clipboard inside the padfolio. You can use these preshow or for instant access. These come in two sizes: 5 x 8 inches and 8 1/2 x 11 inches. The basic unit is an attractive leather padfolio.

This view shows you the gimmick ,which looks like a stitched leatherette flap designed to provide a smooth, stable writing surface for the paper held by the clip -- a built-in clipboard. Of course, anything they write is duplicated by the impression device beneath. You have to admit, this looks totally innocent. The fake stitching is a nice touch, I thought.

Caveat: Due to the limits in the size of available material, the 8 1/2 x 11 inch model uses 2 pieces of Magic Slate to cover the large surface, so there is a hairline horizontal seam about 2/3rd of the way from the bottom on the inside where the two Magic Slates meet. This is not visible on the outside, nor does it interfere with the quality of the impression, even if the audience member happens to write in such a way as to bisect his or her word between the two pieces of Magic Slate. I just didn't want you to be surprised by this. The 5 x 8 pad is constructed with a single piece of Magic Slate.
